The University of Portland's School of Nursing (nursing.up.edu) welcomes applications for a full-time Simulated Health Center Instructor to join its diverse team. Forward-thinking, creative faculty with expertise in clinical teaching, psychomotor skills, nursing education, simulation, informatics and/or clinical technology are encouraged to apply.

Faculty joining the School of Nursing's Simulated Health Center will participate in multiple on-campus clinical settings and will have a range of teaching duties unique to these settings that would include, but are not limited to, the following:

Direct delivery of skills-focused content designed to facilitate the practice of psychomotor skills that support the student, curriculum and School of Nursing.

Facilitate simulation and debriefing sessions in an evidence-based manner that supports the simulation’s objectives and the psychological safety of the participating students.

 

Educational, Experience & Licensing Requirements:

- Required: A Master's degree in Nursing or enrolled in a Master's degree program by the time of employment.

- Required: Eligible for Oregon RN licensure.
- Preferred: Nursing Education or equivalent experience.

Additionally, simulation experience is not required, but preferred.
