The University of Portland's Department of Mathematics invites applications for a renewable appointment at the rank of instructor. This position is scheduled to begin the Fall 2020 semester, which begins August 2020.

This is a full-time faculty position with benefits. The anticipated salary will be approximately $51,000, pending final budget approval. Benefits include: medical & dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, sick time, and tuition remission benefits starting after 90 days of employment (employee). (Please note that eligibility for all University benefits is subject to applicable policies, practices, and requirements.) This position is also eligible for professional development funds.

Responsibilities include teaching lower-level statistics courses (load is 4:4), working with our statistics coordinator, and collaborating with other department faculty.
 

Educational & Experience

Required: Master's degree or higher in statistics or a related field.

Required: Experience teaching statistics at the undergraduate level.

Top candidates will demonstrate excellence in teaching and a record of working closely and well with students.
